Choosing the length of your wedding veil
Look at the veil and dress together, particularly from the back. With wedding veils, the point where the tulle ends changes which parts of the gown remain visible. Compare it with your hem or train, and think about how you would like to wear it for the ceremony.
Plain tulle, a lace edge or dotted detail?
Plain tulle gives the dress beneath it more of the attention. A lace border frames it with another pattern; dotted designs add detail across the surface. Try the options with your gown rather than choosing from the veil alone, and compare their shades in the same light.
How will you wear it through the day?
Ask your boutique how the veil is secured with your planned hairstyle and how to remove it when you want to. If your ceremony is outdoors, discuss the possibility of wind. You can also compare the effect with a cape or other bridal cover-up.
